I'm ready to throw in the towel. Nothing seems to have any effect at all. I sent another novel of a message to doc yesterday and he called mid afternoon and gave me the dosage for her taking the human immodium. I broke the news to him about my purchasing a detox, goats milk, bone broth, the pre and probiotic with digestive enzymes, and a high quality lamb and beef that has no antibiotics or hormones, and tripe. It's like i fold him, even if we don't know what brought this on, her system is out of sync big time and needs supportive care for the ongoing diarrhea issues, and something to flush the toxins out. I'm grateful that he listens to everything I say and is more than willing to let me try almost anything.

I'm putting her meds in her food so I don't have to cram them down her the same way I force fed her until I saw that it was stressing her out and making the gut worse. Unless i can get her to eat though she's not getting the full dose of meds.

I know it's not been 24 hours yet on the changes and shes only had 1 dose of immodium but I'm not seeing a teey bit of improvement. I've wracked my brain looking for answers, and I'm coming up empty, as is the good doctor. I'm hoping to talk him into doing an ultrasound later today, and he or i one area going to call a specialist in Columbia and pick their brain.

I'm scared that no more than she has eaten in the last week there is irreparable damage being done to her internal organs and tissues. I remember something that seemed benign to me at the time about her hair thinning out on her head, sneezing on and off , and this hacking or gagging thing she also has done on and off.

I posted the results of her blood tests for you to look at, and I'm going to go get a can of the royal canin stuff along with the liquid immodium that I can syringe feed to her. If ya'll come up with any more ideas about what I'm dealing with it will be greatly appreciated. [IMG][IMG]

Her progress may be slow due to all of her issues. I pray for you guys to figure it out and that she will get better soon.

Thank you. I sent her vet the link to the thread so he could see what was said and let me know if it's a yes or do a couple of more tests before he commits. I'm going to text him with an update now and push him to give me an answer or a referral to the teaching hospital in Columbia.

Maybe you should change your Vet! It sounds like they don't know what they are doing. Time is precious for our little ones. They are so small.

That's a no brainer. I don't know what to do or where to turn. Who knows if anyone has ever seen it here or what to do. The weird thing is that she doesn't seem to have all the symptoms.

I am sure you are feeling just frantic and frustrated that Lucy is not responding to treatment. I am sorry you are going through this. It sure makes me glad that I have a good vet for my babies!

Imodium never helped stop Apollo's runny's poop.Apollo is on long term Antibiotics, matter of fact he was on 2 different ones and his runny poop stopped for the first time of course he is on Budesonite every day Apollo also had a ultra sound when he was diagnosed .
Had a eyeshot yesterday and still have a bit of trouble seeing. I will see if i can find Apollos Test Results so can compare, and will contact my Friend who is very knowledgeable with Blood test results

I thought I had a good vet this time. This is the second bad experience ive had with vets here not doing what they should have and both times I've lost my kiddos. It's only been 2 years since I lost teddy.

The silence in the house is deafening, painful, heartbreaking, and depressing. I keep hoping someone will pinch me and tell me I was having a bad dream, or that this was a very bad joke. I need someone to explain to me why this happened, that I didn't make the wrong decision, and I didn't make things worse trying to find something that would make her better. I am great at fixing everyone elses problems, but not mine. If it were someone else going through that, I would have told them to go get a second opinion now, so why didn't I take my own advice [IMG][IMG]

All of us have much in common. I still get teddy's box and talk to him. I kept a few of teddy's sweaters, his harness and a few other things. I've picked out the things of hers that were her favorite in toys, her harness, a few tshirts and sweaters etc. And I set up a memorial for her just as I did with teddy keeping little battery operated tea lights going.
