Hello, friends! This is Kipper! My Ma wanted me to tell you what fun we have been having on our travels across the USA. We get to travel in a 26 foot RV, called a Born Free President model. It has a kitchen and a bathroom, and even a shower! Thankfully, none of us pups have had to have a bath in it yet!
The first day, we left at 6:30 in the morning. It was fun driving all the way across to Naples, Idaho, close to Bonners Ferry for our first night camping! We camped by the Blue Lake, which is so deep, they haven't ever been able to reach the bottom, yet. We walked around the campground before it got too dark and then we went to bed. We were tired because Ma's GPS told her to go 8 1/2 miles up a gravel road to get to the campground. When we got up there, the campground was no where to be seen! Come to find out, the Good Sam's Travel Guide directed us to Bonners Ferry instead of Naples!! It was very, very bumpy and Ma and Pa were pretty grumpy when we got out of that mess!
The second night was spent at the worst place we have ever been! It was in Havre, MT and right in town in a parking lot. When Pa was trying to disconnect the RV so we could leave early the next morning (it was right NEXT to the train tracks!! not much sleep for any of us), the sprinklers turned on and drenched him and even sprayed inside our RV!! Grumpy Ma and Pa again! Thankfully, we drove past a parking lot just full of Christian billboards and they had a big tent there, too! Come to find out, the Missionary Baptist Church of West Glacier Park, MT. They gave us some nice magnets to hand out to people as we tell them Jesus loves them. It was a perfect part of our day.
We drove and drove to Minot, North Dakota. Ma said it was like a haven of rest and was so peaceful, lovely, and quiet. We got good rest and bike rides at this nice place! We also got to walk around a lot and people oohed and aahed at us because Ma had dressed us all up in our cute little outfits! Too bad it was raining and thundering the next day, or we might have stayed an extra day!
We did take off later than usual the next morning, so we couldn't make it to our chosen destination of Kabetogama, MN. Instead, we stopped at a little store along the way and an Indian Chief told us to take our RV to the Chippewa Casino down the road and they would let us stay there. For free!! They even had electrical hookups so we could have lights and cook our dinner. It was nice a peaceful there in the back of their huge parking lot.
The Fall colors are gorgeous, according to Ma. She loves looking at them. We saw funny signs along the way, like: Bridge gets icy before road. And we passed through all kinds of interesting spots, such as Devil's Lake (where Ma and Pa were tempted and didn't resist buying a Dairy Queen ice cream cone! No worries, they shared with all of us!) which is the geographical center of North America. We stopped by the "BIG FISH" and took pictures there, too. Goyang-i didn't even want to come out of the RV for that one, since he was sure that big fish would eat him!
Manistique was by far our favorite place so far! It was quiet and elegant and we got to ride bikes again and have fun in our play yard! Goyang-i especially enjoyed the little chipmunks who sat in the trees scolding him for looking hungry! Ha ha! There was a lighthouse out in the bay of Lake Michigan and it was hard to say goodbye the next morning, but it was raining again, soooo....
Now we are in Sandusky, OH. It is a nice woodsy campground and quiet except for the cicadas. They are noisy. We all took turns riding in Pa's bike basket and now we are headed for bed. It is hot here and very sunny, but thunderstorms are due at 3am, so we better get some sleep while we can!! Tomorrow, we are headed for Niagara Falls!!!!

I absolutely love your story Kipper. I love reading of your adventures. It sounds like you are having a wonderful trip across the United States. What a lucky guy you are. I am glad you are taking good care of your mommy and daddy. They are fortunate that you are there to cheer them up when they get upset or sad. Please remind your mommy to take lots of pictures. I am looking forward to sharing your trip through your videos and pictures.

    Keep up the good work.
Hugs and puppy kisses to all of you.

No worries, Bobbi! Ma is taking tons of pictures and videos. She just needs more time to get them put together and so far, YouTube hasn't let her upload her videos. Probably need really good internet connection. Meanwhile, she has them on her computer and will keep trying!

Niagara Falls was stunnng!! The wind was fierce but the 82 degrees made it endurable. It blew JinJu right over!! Haha! The campground near the Falls would not allow us to stay and were very rude about it, too. It turned out to be a blessing because we got a super quiet spot among corn fields and by ponds of water. We are all alone in our spot and I am sure we will rest well for our trip into Vermont tomorrow. The traffic in Buffalo was a nightmare and we circled the town for over an hour before we found a way around the detour so we could continue on to the falls. The gps was no help at all! Oh well. We played on the beach at Lake Erie and the puppies loved it!! Steven got some good videos so we may be able to get those loaded to share.

I have heard that some people in the east are very rude. I talked to a guy that lived there. He said it was quite a cultural shock for him when he came here and everyone was so friendly. He was an officer friend of Ted's and he was very nice.

I am glad you found a wonderful place to stay.

I find it especially hard to take when it is MY BABIES they are scorning or rejecting. I cried. At the Falls, people kept asking to have their pictures taken with the puppies. They loved them and the puppies were so thrilled to get all that attention.

I am so sorry you ran into such rotten park people. Your babies are so sweet, I don't understand anyone who would not love them. I am glad regular people enjoyed your puppies and wanted to have pictures taken with them.

Hey, friends! Kipper here. We are resting for two days in the beautiful campground in Winthrop, Maine. We got asked to leave the last campground because they forgot to ask how many pets we had with us and once they found out there were 7 of us, they said we would have to leave. We traveled through New Hampshire and Pennsylvania to get here to Maine. It's okay though, because this new campground is Christian and has high standards of dress and behavior, so it is pleasant and quiet and we can play and run and have a ball! These squirrels are amazing, too! They are so big!! JinJu is smaller than most of them. Ha ha! We got to ride in the doggie cart behind Ma's bicycle this afternoon. It was so cold, we stayed in most of the morning and it was still cold when we left at noon!
Ma surprised us with Himalaya chews for each of us. Nabi was a bit selfish and kept snarling at poor Omari and taking his chew away from him. Ma made sure he got it back. Omari is a big sissy and when he gets scared, his teeth chatter. It looks pretty silly, since his bottom teeth stick out of his mouth all the time anyway. Goyang-i got some kitty greenies. He goes wild over those! Ma says he is a good kitty because he uses his litter box every time and he doesn't claw things up. The only bad thing is when he jumps down from the loft onto Ma while she is sleeping. Nearly 14 pounds hurtling down from above is quite a shock when you are sound asleep! I decided to sleep down there so I could snarl at him if he even thought of doing that to poor Ma again. It worked!
JinJu and I are the only ones that use the RV shower to go potty on the pee pads. I saw Mozart go in when he was desperate, but then Pa let us all out to potty outside. We have a nice play pen that is very large and we can run and play and do our poopies there.
We saw some more strange signs along the way here. It must be "Moose Country" here, because we kept seeing signs, "Brake for Moose, It may save your life!"
We never saw any, though. The road signs here are very wordy compared to those in our town. Instead of saying "Watch for Ice!" they say, "Bridge will be icy before Pavement." Pa warned Ma to watch out for porcupines, since he said those can pop your tires! We saw lots of dead ones that others must have hit. I wonder if their tires popped?
The fall colors are not really spectacular, as the natives say that they have had too much rain. It needs to get colder before the leaves start to turn. There are a few to give us a good idea that it is usually beautiful.
The drivers are horrible in New York and Vermont and so are the roads back here! They don't signal when they change lanes and they will pull out in front of you, even if they see you coming! We saw four accidents (one terrible one) within just an hour one day. There are no speed warnings for sharp corners and no warnings for horrible dips or bumps in the road, although New York had them for bumps that might bother a squirrel! Haha!
We plan to leave for a night in Rhode Island tomorrow and then it is off to see the Statue of Liberty!!! We are so excited! If they have room, we will stay two nights. The man who answered the phone when Ma called to make the reservation laughed so hard when he heard how many of us were traveling together! "I nevah herd of anyone traveling with six dawgs!"
Due to Hurricane Florence, Ma and Pa are taking a little extra time before we make our way down to Florida. They said we are going to go into Kentucky, South Carolina, and Georgia to get there.
I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy!

Sweet Kipper, I am so very glad you are keeping us updated on your journey across the United States. Too bad you didn't get to see a moose in Maine. They are unusual animals. I was fortunate to see some while visiting my parents in Montana. They lived in Trego, which is next to the Canadian border. Beautiful country. Anyway, I love your North Eastern accent. Well done. I am glad you and the other babies are charming people all across the country. I guess the few rude people we met, help us appreciate all the wonderful, loving people who are out there. Please give your mommy and daddy extra kisses from me. We love you all.

That is very special, Candy, that you saw the Statue of Liberty when you first came to the US. I am excited to see it, although the weather is so nasty, I am not sure how much we will see. We hope to take the boat over to where it is and get close! The RV park is so very nice and they said that our dogs could stay inside our RV while we go explore.
This morning, we left as soon as it was daylight and traveled through five states in less than 5 hours! We left Maine and went through New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and ended up in Foster, Rhode Island. It was 37 degrees in Maine when we left and it is 63 here and pouring down rain. They expect thunderstorms all night long, so it should be exciting. The nighttime temperatures are only supposed to get down to 64 degrees! Haha! We won't need the heat on tonight, that is for sure! It is supposed to get up to 75 here tomorrow. According to my weather app, it is supposed to be 82 with thunderstorms in Jersey City, NJ tomorrow and sunny and 72 on Thursday when we will be visiting the Statue of Liberty! Hooray!
I have payroll to do tomorrow, so depending on when we arrive at Jersey City and when I get the payroll done, we might have time for some sightseeing before dark! It is only about 4 1/2 hours away from where we are, so I am really hopeful!
Kipper here: I saw some more hilarious signs today. Instead of saying "U Turn", the sign said, "To Reverse Direction" and another sign said, "Parking Area" and it was a rest stop! Yet when Ma was coming up to a stop sign, written on the road was, "Stop AHD"!
Poor Omari got the chatters again when Ma ran over noisy bumps in the road. She spoils him, if you ask me. She says she looks at his liquid brown eyes (now what do you think that means?!!) and can't resist letting him sit in her lap for comfort while she is driving. And that little JinJu thinks she is the princess of this RV! She sits in the hanging dog house right behind Pa's head and if she makes even the smallest squeak, they stop and we all get to have a potty break. I guess that is pretty nice, even though the rest of us can squirm and fidget and they don't seem to notice.
Every night, when it is time to sleep, we all crawl into Ma's bed. She says she hardly has any room to sleep and why can't we go sleep with Pa. Well, for one thing, she doesn't roll on top of us and she doesn't snore as loud! Haha! When it is mealtime, we all crowd around Pa because when Ma isn't looking, we all get little nibbles of whatever Pa is eating! Yum!!
Ma says Mozart is stinky and she is going to give him a bath. I told the others and we are all going to hide and pretend we are sleeping. I hope she doesn't think we need baths! Poor Mozie!

Aww Mr Kipper, you always bring a smile to my face and make me feel better. Sandy and Roxy feel the same way about bath time. They love being clean but they hate the process of getting that way. LOL. They go hide with daddy too. And, yes, daddy always gives them nibbles when I am not looking. I think daddy's are that way.

I can't imagine crossing 5 states in 5 hours. What a wonderful adventure you are all having. I can hardly wait for your next update. Marlin and I got quite a laugh about the funny signs you are finding.
