I have been watching this. Thankfully, we have not been feeding these foods to our dogs. It disgusts me to think that some pet foods are made out of dead pets, like dogs and cats!!! The woman who lost her dog to feeding him this food now cooks her own food for her dogs. Can't blame her! In our area, a raw food maker, Darwin's has had a salmonella outbreak that has killed and sickened pets.

It is so scary. I am glad Walmart sent an e-mail to all of its customers who bought the food. Thank you Lynn for posting this.

My heart breaks for people who lose their sick babies due to contaminated food.

At this rate, it won't be long before we are all cooking our own dog food and treats!

My Holistic Vet told me that it's some of the dog food brands with meat by products, grains, etc. etc. that cause things like "Cushings" etc. I always gave Molly good natural food, so I hope I'm not to blame for her getting Cushings.

I also don't think you caused her Cushings, Lynn. I never knew about healthy dog food for a long time, and I have had lots and lots of dogs. Only one dog did get Cushings, but she was on a healthy food, too! It is caused from a tumor in the pituitary gland in 85-90% of the cases, and was the case for my mini schnauzer, Stasha. In any case, your vet has prescribed the best plan for Molly and I am praying she will respond well to it so you can enjoy her for as long as you can.
