Had the call last night, she said he is general and stable but white Blood cells still is high which indicates either still a infection which she described (that makes 3) or it could be a inflammation which is harder to control due to his Protein leek Meds.. so she wanted to do x-ray, ultrasound and who knows what tests and even if we wonld get an idea what it is don't mean we can fix it.It broke my  to say No ! So we are trying to make him feel better. She said he looks depressed, i told her he always been that way since he got so sick and honestly think he lost his wii to live since Rosi is gone...so now i have to watch for for things, like more weight loss, not eating, vomiting or hard breathing, we will see how he does after the antibiotics worked after 3 weeks...gosh i feel a repeat coming as he has no energy and all he wants is food and napping. Also being deaf prob don't help him

Leo lost his hearing almost a year before he passed. We continued to talk to him. He learned to look at my face to get clues about what I was saying. I also would tap him on his back before I put the foot down on the recliner, so it didn't startle him. When walking up behind him... I would stomp my feet so he could feel the vibration on the floor.

They really pick up on things and learn to communicate. I didn't treat him as handicapped. They are smart little things. It just takes a bit to get used to how communicate with each other. Hand signals work well too.

I am happy he is doing well. Think positive and enjoy loving and being loved by your little man.

Well he is not very lovey except when it comes to treats lol. Stomping my feet don't work as we have a cement foundation , yes i startle him sometimes. He does look at my face when i talk and i use my arms and hands...poor guy ! He is my gentle giant.

Love him for as long as you can, Candy. I think Apollo will let you know. I knew a week ago Saturday that Patti wouldn't be with me long - I just felt it. I MISS her so much!

I know Lynn...when you called me and said you looked over where Patti use to sleep ? I do the same thing, i look to our bed where her bed is and i see Rosi's little Face...Apollo stole her bed even though his bed is next to hers, he is very cautious getting in there as Rosi would attack him when he tried

Apollo is not well at all, the last few days he has been leaking Urin again he has been on 3 different antibiotics but not sure if they help with a bladder infection which he was treated for about 3-4 weeks ago. Well yesterday eve he started eating grass then vomiting and drinking lots of water so he threw it up, then it repeated it at least 10 x. I finally took his water away which i hated doing in 1oo deg weather..i know he must be totally dehydrated..i put water on my finger but he clenches his teeth. I will syringe some water in him as i can't get him in until 5 pm unless he gets worse. He also seems to to have trouble with his hindquarters. ...I just pray it is not what i am thinking what i need to do
