f0r Syl, her cold turned into Pneumonia, Blake took her durning the night to ER because she could not breathe and was in so much pain. She was crying when she called me. Can you believe they gave her meds and let her go back home because they are overloaded with people, they told her if she got worse to come back in. I feel so badly for her...

I am not surprised they didn't keep her. This flu virus has all the hospitals overcrowded. It can be deadly. If she can medically handle it at home, then she will not be exposed to the virus too. They are doing that in most of the states, from what the news reported.

Continued prayers for you both Candy. I hope Syl was able to make it to the hospital okay and that they will keep her until she's stable. I hope she's contacted you by now so you won't worry. :hugs:

I am very sorry I did not see this yesterday. I am praying for a complete recovery and one that doesn't take forever! Our employees have been dropping like flies with the flu here. Yesterday, I told one man that he didn't sound good at all and that he should go home. He stayed the whole day and then went home and ended up in the emergency room with 106 degree temperature!! I am not happy, but apparently, he didn't realize he was that sick. I read in the news this morning that the flu is beginning to wane, so let's hope none of us get it and that the Lord will keep our loved ones healthy or heal them if they did get the flu.

Thats crazy, i thought you where dead at a 106, i hope he gets better soon !
Syl tested negative for the Flu. It was that nasty Chest Cold that did it. I started a week before Christmas and i am still hacking and tired. She may come home this morning as her Sugar is under control and they told her it is going to be month before she feels better. Now she has COPT on top...sigh

I am glad she gets to come home later today. She will feel better at home... at least I always do. Now that they know she has COPD, maybe they can treat her better.

Goodness Susan, I hope your work employee gets over this and will have a full recovery. That's a super high temperature and feel one would likely have seizures if not cooled down with a temp of 106F! I have also heard that those that got the flu shot are getting sicker than those that didn't and this shot is not working like they thought it would. I don't agree with getting the flu shot and never have for that reason.

I'm glad that Syl is able to come home and that her blood sugars are under control Candy. Did you mean COPD? Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease? Does Syl smoke? I just wondered about that, if so, she should sure try to quit.
