I had given up on guys. I prayed about my lack of making good choices in guys. I said if it was meant to be, it would work out. I wasn't going to date for a very long time.
I bowled a summer mixed league with my parents. Dad asked a friend if he knew someone who would like to bowl, since I really didn't know a guy who bowled. Marlin was the guy. He was very nice. I wasn't really interested in him as anything but a bowling partner. He had a bunch of friends he had known for years and years. We went to a few things together as friends. It slowly worked out from there.
God makes better choices than I do. Thank heavens for that.
That is such a sweet story, Bobbi!! Yes, God does make the best choices, but He always leaves them up to us. You made an excellent choice, obviously with God's help! Steven and I will be celebrating our 48th wedding anniversary in June. When it is time, I will share how we met, too! This is fun! Thank you for sharing.
